The text of the article is lifted word-for-word from the history section of the "Ecuador" article in the Britannica. I suppose it probably came from the 11th edition, but that was a crib of (at least) the 9th edition. — $Llywelyn II$ 01:54, 23 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
