Cerro del Cubilete is a mountain in the municipally of Silao, Guanajuato in Mexico. At its a top is the monumental Christ of the mountain, built in the 1940s, but an earlier monument dates back to 1920. in 1928 the monument was bombed and dynamited on the orders of Plutarco Elias Calles Mexican military politician.Cerro del Cubilete is known for being one of the most visited Catholic sanctuaries in the country, the feast of Christ the King takes place on November 21, where thousands of tourists flock, the statue of Christ is considered the largest in the world made of bronze, the statue is 20 meters high and weighs 80 tons, it was erected in 1950. After the Cristero war, the statue of Christ the King gained relevance as a symbol of pacification, prior to this, a smaller one was in its place. The statue represents the figure of Jesus standing with arms outstretched and an angel to one side, one holding the crown of thorns and the other a royal crown, the statue of Christ the King is housed in a circular altar.

Location : Located 20 kilometers from Silao and 30 Kilometers from León City. It has a height of 2579 meters above sea level, 150 meters more than Machu Picchu in Peru.
