Have done initial preparations for the article. Adam Cuerden talk 16:01, 19 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I tweaked this article as much as I can for now. After you are finished with it, let me know, and I'll take another look. See Stedman (1996), Chapter 8. -- Ssilvers 05:34, 20 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"Stone, David "In Aid--In Aid of a Deserving Charity..." W. S. Gilbert Society Journal Vol. 2 No. 15: Summer 2004, pp. 452-454"

I could have sworn that article was on Gilbert's short stories printed in magazines sold for charity, specifically "The Flag", which had just been rediscovered. Am I wrong, and/or was the title reused? Adam Cuerden talk 11:25, 20 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm. Could use a section on the other theme: The fate of the underpriveledged. Well, I'll finish up the Plot first (but I think I'll move away for a bit - we're tripping over each other today. Adam Cuerden talk 15:30, 20 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I hadn't noticed that the Background section duplicates part of the lead. Should we lose it? Adam Cuerden talk 06:30, 21 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I massaged it around now so that we retain all the interesting info without duplicating. -- Ssilvers 17:54, 21 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

B-class, but IMO all the Gilbert plays except Engaged should be "low" priority for the G&S project unless they are fairly regularly revived. -- Ssilvers 05:39, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
