Similarities with the elder sister city
[edit]the belgian charleroi also had supersized coal+steel+glass industries and also is experiencing a decrease in population (however less spectacular). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.189.181.120 (talk) 23:23, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
Not the only Pyrex factory
[edit]From Pyrex "Pyrex kitchen glassware manufactured for sale in the United States is made at the World Kitchen facility in Charleroi, Pennsylvania. Pyrex products for the European Union are made at a factory in France. EU products and laboratory glassware continue to be made of borosilicate glass." Awg1010 (talk) 16:31, 4 June 2011 (UTC)

Pronunciation
[edit]In the local parlance, both R's are pronounced. Sorry, I don't know how to change the phonemes. But it is pronounced SHAR-ler-oy. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.95.133.32 (talk) 15:18, 30 June 2011 (UTC)
