Lakes by regions and ranges cats

[edit]

There are other lakes out there that ahve Category:Pacific Ranges, and for a while now I've been mulling the propriety of Category:Lakes of the Lower Mainland and similar "country" regionalization categories. I'll take the list and discussion up on teh Canadian Geography WP although maybe the GVRD cat is just as relevant in the caseo f teh Lower Mainland idea, and since Category:Mountain lakes, if it continues to exist, "Lakes of the XXX Mountains/Range" could be subcats of same. But if say Chilko Lake is to be in Category:Lakes of the Pacific Ranges it has just as much reason to be in Category:Lakes of the Chilcotin; one is a range-bawesd hierarchy and the other is a region-based hierarchy; in BC, of course, ranges themselves are regions e.g. teh Stikine Ranges or Omineca Ranges or Tagish Highland....Skookum1 (talk) 04:08, 28 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
