Hi everyone! We are just starting to work on this article -- please bear with us as we navigate Wikipedia's guidelines and edit our article accordingly. Thanks!

Hi, welcome! I assessed the article early because I noticed the direction it was going in. Articles on Wikipedia should be written in a neutral, objective tone as though written by a disinterested third party. I noticed that you were conveying a sense of admiration, relating the sense of caring and assurance that this organization might carry in its own mission statement or on its website. Also, I feel the descriptions of some of the services are at a level of detail that might be found in an appeal to potential donors for, for example, clothing of many sorts, but is too specific for the article. Hello! To whomever keeps deleting the work, we are presenting it in 20 minutes and would really appreciate it if you didn't edit until then. Thanks!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Maryoliviakeith (talkcontribs) 16:46, 4 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I'm sorry, but Wikipedia isn't a free platform for composing your own presentations. It's an encyclopedia, and it has core policies and a voluminous set of guidelines implementing them. Much of what I removed was undue detail and subjective and amounted to treating the article as a vehicle for outreach for the organization. Further, there is no ownership over articles. I see I already explained above why I was editing down the article. Largoplazo (talk) 18:03, 4 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Presence of the announcement of a development that has already happened

[edit]

@Signyharnad123: Can you please explain why you keep reinserting obsolete information? As I've pointed out twice in my edit summaries when I've removed it, there isn't any reason for an article to continue to inform readers about announcements of coming developments after the new developments have already occurred and have been reported here with their owns sources. Once an event has occurred, the fact of it having been announced before it happens becomes outdated trivia and the value to the reader that it had had is nullified by the presence of the more up-to-date information.
