Name

[edit]

The article states the name was changed to "Chiffon Cake" when General Mills bought the recipe. What was it called before? --Almosteverywhere (talk) 02:12, 9 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Also, someone should check if a person named Harry Baker actually invented this cake, or if someone just put that in there because it sounded good. --Denise from the Cosby Show (talk) 04:00, 9 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Merge?

[edit]

Could this article be merged with Sponge cake? Chiffon cakes, after all, are just a variation on sponge cakes - the recipe is identical to one for biscuit de savoie with addition of vegetable oil and baking powder.Patrickcolvin (talk) 05:53, 26 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Bad Redirect

[edit]

There is a redirect from "chiffon pie" to this page. These are in fact two different dishes, as any recipe site will tell you. 71.56.134.100 (talk) 08:54, 22 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
