Please explain how this is a notable charity as applies to wp:rs There is a Road, No Simple Highway (talk) 18:17, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You do have coverage let me pull of the tag. There is a Road, No Simple Highway (talk) 18:18, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The article should not be deleted. The article gives reference to several other articles that show that Christel House Organization is a notable nonprofit. A nonprofit in no need for advertisement. I feel that the global nonprofit organization that has been sited in notable, popular and respected magazines and newspapers like Forbes and the Indianapolis Star should have a wiki article about them. Users would be interested and once again this is not a blantant advertisement but a statement of truth and fact.

I trimmed down most of the promotional language. If the information can be cited in line to the various references given, that would improve the article immensely. Note that it doesn't matter whether it reads like an andvert or an informational brochure; both are inappropriate. It should read like an encyclopedia article. NPOV[edit]

This article reads like an advertisement. It should be rewritten with relevant, independent sources or substantially trimmed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.39.110.187 (talk) 23:06, 29 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

There is also a few editors who clearly have an undeclared COI who are editing this article. Even now with it cleaned up a bit probably 50% can go.--VVikingTalkEdits 15:02, 19 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Tags[edit]

I am going to be placing the following tags on the top of the article: COI and rely on one source. The COI is clear from the editing history in the article, many promotional items have been added, removed and then added again. The rely on one source since all but one of the sources is from the school. Please do not remove without first commenting or fixing the issues. --VVikingTalkEdits 14:37, 22 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I'm glad to see the tags are still in place. We still have the issue of the promotional COI editing. To start with the picture is too big it should be the normal thumb size. Next the stats about graduation and placement rates is not sourced, and more promotional than encylopedic. The vision is more promotional than encylopedic. Just this statement "and the ending results always show this models works as planned" I will leave this here for discussion.VVikingTalkEdits 14:26, 26 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. I've resized the photo and made some other format changes. The graduation and placement rates seem to come from the 2016 Annual Report cited for the planned Jamaica site, but the enrollment figures are not listed there. I suppose a sentence could be added at the beginning of the section stating where the statistics come from, moving the Jamaica ref to it, but I think we need a source for the enrollment if we do that. I have (again) removed most of the unencyclopedic content and self-promotional PR speak from the article, and left the user adding this content a message about these "conflict of interest" concerns (again). I am not sure that all remaining "accomplishments" are really significant from an encyclopedic PoV, but removed only a few of the most obvious problems in this section (other entries might need a more thorough evaluation).
