Compared to Egg Nog

[edit]

I think the syntax needs to be polished to where someone reading does not associate Cola de Mono with Eggnog. The only similarity is that they are both traditional holiday drinks. Cola de Mono is better compared to a "White Russian" (mixed drink) than to a yellow thick characteristics of eggnog. I think the essence of what is Cola de Mono is being lost with the comparison made. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.71.220.91 (talk) 18:51, 26 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

=A new picture is needed

[edit]

The picture supposedly depicting "Cola de Mono" is incorrect. Must be changed by a free-replacement since the current one, is showing another alcoholic beverage. (Pisco, if I'm not mistaken) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.95.67.195 (talk) 19:11, 2 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Image

[edit]

I'm really going to remove the image. If you click it, in the description itself says "...Cola de Tigre... No confundir con el licor hecho de café y leche". — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gaboflowers (talkcontribs) 05:12, 4 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Content moved from Chilean cuisine

[edit]

User Alljenknows (talk) added the following content to [[Chilean cuisine]. Seeing as this page is linked from there, and no other dishes include such an explicit description on that page, I feel it belongs better here. Anyone willing to add it in? I would, but I know nothing about this drink and wouldn't know where to compromise between facts. Thanks

Understanding Cola de Mono - The monkey tail or "cola de mono" is a cocktail made with brandy, milk, coffee, sugar and spices (optional: cinnamon, cloves, and orange peel). It is typical of the cuisine of Chile. It is widely consumed in the Christmas season and New Year, often with Easter bread.

Boil the milk with the coffee, sugar and spices. Then allow it to cool down and add the brandy. Then strained and bottled, and stored cold.

Some people prefer it thicker and therefore change the sugar too condensed milk
