Track 11 is called "The New Word" not "The New World"! Check on www.inflames.com if you want this confirmed.

— The back cover of the CD clearly reads "The New World" [1] and the official Nuclear Blast site also lists the track as "The New World" [2].
Furthermore, the lyrics make a lot more sense when "world" is used:

"In my hand is a new world / But the world is still / Without a body / A hidden lifestream that swells in the deep / Will soon give the world a second face"

I get the impression that there's been a rather widespread typographical problem here, since both spellings appear frequently on the 'net. However, a photograph is difficult to argue with.

Fair use rationale for Image:InFlames-Colony.jpg

[edit]

Image:InFlames-Colony.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

In Flames fails at Swedish

[edit]

It's supposed to be "Pallar-Anders". 193.44.6.146 (talk) 17:01, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Leave the Swedish to the Swedes, hmm? Don't say you think you know what their songs should be named. 74.226.139.58 (talk) 19:26, 1 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Someone added the translation for "Pallar Anders Visa" as "Will Anders Visa (credit card) hold up", and commented on that revision:

Previous entry ("Pallar Anders Visa" means "The Ballad of Anders the Thief") is incorrectly translated and most likely a joke translation. Replaced it with a correct Swedish translation. Source: Swedish language. "Pallar" is slang for hold up/withstand, "Anders" is the vocalist. "Visa" could mean a few things but it's most likely referring to Anders credit score with the Visa company when you take the whole line in context.

I think this translation is likely speculative. But I found an interview of the guitarist Bjorn Gelotte where he said:

It's an old Swedish traditional song. Really old. "Pallar Anders" is a name, but it means "Anders, the guy who steals apples" and it's his song. I don't know how to translate it.

So I replace this translation with the quote from Bjorn Gelotte. 14.160.65.22 (talk) 07:14, 20 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I Believe that the Title should just be called Colony (album) because this Album is before the bjorn album and should get the rites to the name album only. M4pnt (talk) 20:17, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There is no such thing as "getting the rights" for an article name. See WP:TITLE. Nymf hideliho! 22:35, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
