MacGregor ancestry
[edit]I am not sure that there is any reliable source to suggest that rumours of MacGregor ancestry were accurate. Nor does the revised version quite make sense as it presently stands. Is it perhaps worth reconsidering the recent edit on this topic? 45ossington
(talk) 13:40, 8 May 2008 (UTC) Documents in the private possession of Skinner's descendants heavily suggest MacGregor ancestry, as does a history of the clan published at the beginning of the last century. This descent is referred to both by Lady Nugent in her journal, and was held to be true by one of the MacGregor Chiefs. This information was deemed to be true by his family, which had its name changed back to MacGregor in the 1860s.
I agree that the article needs rephrasing, but its factual basis is sound.
Thanks for the information. I have fiddled with the wording a bit. 45ossington (talk) 13:30, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
