Poor, poor article. Please flag for revamp[edit]

1. The mention of the fact that it sounds more like a Rascals song is pure conjecture, not a fact. Unless someone in the music business said that, it is irrelevant. State who and when, or remove it.

2. The term "Crystal Meth" did not begin to even be in use till 1980 (souce:Google NGram). So the likelihood that Tommy James knew that the word "crystal" was part of the terminology, instead of just "meth," is highly unlikely; still it should only be included if Tommy James, himself actually stated that point.

3. An entire paragraph dedicated to e history of methamphetamines instead of describing the meaning, history and usage of the song is completely unnecessary and should be deleted.

Dave Marsh quote[edit]

The Dave Marsh quote is also cited for the song "Draggin' the Line" (Tommy James solo) in the article on that song. Which one is accurate? — Preceding unsigned comment added by The tamale (talkcontribs) 14:02, 16 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced "Facts"[edit]

The entire paragraph about the song referencing a Watchtower Bible and Tract Society publication is about to be removed because it is entirely unsourced. The citation given doesn't even appear until after the following paragraph to begin with, and when that source is explored it turns up only two commments from visitors to the site, one of which REFUTES the claim. To include such utter speculation on the part of a single person's commment is ridiculous. Such speculation doesn't belong in any encyclopedia. I am deleting it entirely right now. in culture[edit]

i fight alosing battle on this, but this shouod not be every reference to a song. it should be significant uses of the song which are important to the theme or plot or story arcs of that new work. just having it as background music is not notable. but im not gonna edit it, as i will not be around after my edits are reversed.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 04:20, 6 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

That's too bad; I'm on your side regarding this sort of crap removal. In fact, I just did a bunch. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆 𝄐𝄇 04:51, 6 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
