Military traffic
[edit]Culcheth was close to the naval shore establishment HMS Gosling Camp 3, which housed around 1000 men, and was therefore one of the main sources of transport available for men on liberty. It must have greatly increased the passenger figures. I know this from my father's letters but don't have a published source. Bruern Crossing (talk) 10:38, 13 October 2017 (UTC)
