The references in the show are a bit indeterminate and it went for comic effect over strict historic accuracy. The character has various delusions as well so it's not too clear what is accurate. And to add to the mix he may be someone who was too young to go to the First World War and is "reliving" a imagined version. Timrollpickering (talk) 08:59, 28 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
