Untitled[edit]

90% of this article is just lauditory nonsense. Where are some facts? Date of Birth? Numbers of CDs sold? Dates for moving? I am going to seriously revise most of this and hopefully somone will come forward with the pertinent facts about the like of Dana Fuchs, ortherwise it seems this is not notable at all.

Tone[edit]

I was thinking as I read the article in its current state that it sounds like Dana wrote this herself. Then at her official website under bio I read again much of this text verbatim.[1] However, whether or not she wrote it is not the point, rather the tone of the article currently reads as a fanzine. Examples include and are not limited to "began hitting the local blues jams with a vengeance" and "playing 3 long sets a night, 4 nights a week until 3 am, honing her already formidable vocal power..." - Steve3849talk 07:09, 25 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I completely agree. When I read it I thought I was reading a summary of a Hollywood movie or something a publicist put together and planted. But then again, this kind of insincerity and manufactured 'interest' fits her music well. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.19.197.114 (talk) 12:49, 2 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, peacock, POV text throughout. Needs to be rewritten. Who's up for that? --BwB (talk) 12:51, 2 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I noticed the sane problem. It is either written by the subject herself, and A&R representative, or in part, whether a good will batch of edits or not, plagiarized from the official website to some degree. I'll start the rewrite; has anyone else noticed that as she progresses in the music world, she should really have a different infobox for musicians? I don't know much about her, but after watching her perform at Warren Haynes' annual Christmas-New Year jam, I'm swayed in that direction. Anybody? --Leahtwosaints (talk) 19:19, 15 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove any banners from articles that are unsourced. They may have multiple problems. I was very ill, and only selected one banner for Dana Fuchs, however... I built the infobox, found a photo, which I added, and, no, I don't want to be the lead editor here. However, I've done the same for over 1,500 BLPs over the years. I noticed there weren't any Inline references in the article last week. I added a reference section, in which nothing was placed because there are no references that have been used. I placed a banner- and return to find no new references, and that the banner was removed!? Now I've placed a more appropriate banner. Don't revert unless you contact me directly on this, please. --Leahtwosaints (talk) 03:58, 7 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
