Fair use rationale for Image:Dartylogo.jpg[edit]

Image:Dartylogo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Merger with Darty plc[edit]

I'm proposing that we merge Darty plc into this article, uniting the corporate information with the details of the company's operations. The Darty plc infobox would be used in this article, and it would make clear that while the company is based in the UK, its operations are abroad. Cloudbound (talk) 17:17, 29 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Merged with Fnac[edit]

Following the takeover by Fnac, Fnac and Darty merged, the Fnac group is renamed Fnac Darty and the Darty headquarters joined the Fnac headquarters in Ivry Sur Seine, France. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.115.188.152 (talk) 22:00, 24 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Page separation[edit]

I'm not sure that Darty should redirect to this page. Fnac Darty is the parent company of both Fnac and Darty but both continue to operate as retail brands in their own right. Fnac already has its own Wikipedia page, I think Darty should too- given that the company has a reasonable history as a separate entity. I would appreciate some advice or insight from someone with a better understanding of Wikipedia administration. james_mc (talk) 23:08, 30 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Fnac Darty SA vs. Darty Limited, formerly Darty PLC[edit]

Please do the needed research before you merge 2 different entities into the same article:

- Fnac Darty SA, formerly Groupe Fnac SA [1]

- Darty Limited, still exists, formerly known as Darty plc, Kesa Electricals plc, Kesa Electricals Limited, Ferrwalk Limited [2]

How does an UK company become a French one while they also both exist today? If a company has operations abroad, those companies will be very likely its subsidiaries, not the same entity. List of subsidiaries 2016 D00kSI (talk) 23:59, 10 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
