Notability

Hello editors of this article,

I understand that a lot of work has been done on this article since last September. However, the page is still failing the criterion for notability in Wikipedia. The notability guidelines for organizations state as the primary criterion:

"A company, corporation, organization, group, product, or service is notable if it has been the subject of secondary sources."

That is, you must show that others have written about your society. Currently, all the external links refer to content generated by yourself.

Please add references to secondary sources. These could be newspaper articles about your society, or books in which Delta Theta Sigma is mentioned, or other sources, as long as they are reliable and independent. I am sure these sources exist; but only you can add them.

I am resetting the "date counter" for notability for now. But please: add sources to the article. Otherwise it might be nominated for deletion again, like in last September.

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to 2 external links on Delta Theta Sigma. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.

NOT part of the African Diaspora

An editor had included a template for the African Diaspora. They undoubted meant Delta Sigma Theta instead. Jax MN (talk) 00:43, 8 December 2020 (UTC)

Primary vs. secondary sources

Hello,

I have changed the tags on the article a bit. Source are now cited. But there's still something missing, namely independent sources. You might want to read Wikipedia:Independent sources for details. Currently, you largely cite your organization's own homepage. To establish notability, you should also cite what others write about you. Press coverage, for example, is a good option. Be aware that all these source must be reliable (some people like citing blogs, personal webpages, etc., but these are not considered reliable because anybody can edit them).

Happy editing, --B. Wolterding 16:24, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

Notability

Per comments on the AfD discussion page, this article needs more information on the notability of the organization added, or it may be nominated for deletion a second time.

Please review WP:ORG for information on notability for organizations. - CobaltBlueTony 19:08, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
