I increased the span of molecular weights of dextran. The previous values were 10 to 150 kDa and, although attached to fluorescent probes, there are dextrans that are both shorter and much longer than that (for a list of the probes I base this on, see http://www.invitrogen.com/search/global/searchAction.action?resultPage=1&resultsPerPage=15&query=dextran&show_seproductcategorynavigator=true&show_productcategorynavigator=true&show_taxonomynavigator=true&show_brandnavigator=true&show_sedocumenttypenavigator=true ) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hakkman (talkcontribs) 10:32, 11 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Drawing unclear

[edit]

The drawing of dextran suggests that the glucose monomers are C7's insofar as vertices = carbon. The bit at the glycosidic bond is deceptive. So I am going to redraw it.--Smokefoot (talk) 00:52, 24 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
