Probably uncitable source

[edit]

Springbokboeke is described as invaluable in the Mail & Guardian article, but every page, including this one, is riddled with "buy" buttons. So I'm leaving the link to its page on the series here rather than making it an external link in the article. Yngvadottir (talk) 16:03, 3 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect Inconsistencies

[edit]

The paragraph stating that there are inconsistencies in the stories regarding Spikkels and Simson is incorrect. True, they are leopards ("luiperd" in Afrikaans). However, it is also common language to refer to leopards as tigers ("tier" in Afrikaans), as true tigers are not found in southern Africa. The few places where cheetahs ("jagluiperd" in Afrikaans) are mentioned, it is not directed at Spikkels and Simson, for example see "Rooi Maskers". In my opinion that whole paragraph is unsubstantiated, and thus I've removed it. --RISadler (talk) 10:07, 30 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
