So what is the exact difference between "Angle-of-Arrival" and "Direction-of-Arrival"? The DoA article points to the AoA article, but this does not really make it clear. Mbssch 17:29, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think that from spatial signal processing point of view there is no difference. The measurement system is located in a certain point in some coordinate system. The sources are located in other points in the same coordinate system. In order to define the position (direction) of arrival of the signals we have to use some kind of angles. I think that these articles should be merged (under common name Direction-of-Arrival. The DoA article is more general, and should probably be a kind of a brief introduction to the topic, while the AoA example should follow. mhulboj (talk) 09:49, 28 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
