Why this page should not be deleted

[edit]

There was a deletion tag attached to this page which I removed after some improvements to the article.

To avoid the same thing happening again....

There are a number of articles for people who disappeared mysteriously that have been deemed notable. See Ruth Wilson and Andrew Gosden. Both examples were young and academically bright like Alex. The only real difference is the amount of media coverage that the cases got. Maybe Alex would have got more coverage if instead of a black youth from London he would have been a pretty white school girl or a middle class school boy. This disappearance is just as unexplained and notable as the examples given and I do not believe Wikipedia should exhibit the same the racial bias that the British media appears to have done.

Date of disappearance in 2008

[edit]

Several articles have stated he was aged 16 when he disappeared in July 2008 and only a few days from his 17th birthday. Other articles stated he disappeared in August 2008 which would make him 17. Which is correct?--Darrelljon (talk) 16:34, 26 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Vanished (British TV series) series 2 episode 4 confirms his birthday was 4 August and he disappeared 2 August 2008. Darrelljon (talk) 19:35, 23 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
