Lapras and a fuwante

[edit]

is it true that if you arrive outside the power plant at 11:59, a tunnel leading to an underground cave where a lapras is battling a fuwante opens up, giving you the chance to catch both?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 4.184.243.171 (talk) 17:03, 22 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm pretty sure that's only a rumor... but it could still be true. But I don't think this should be mentioned in the article until proven true or false.- Floramage! 19:40, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What's a Fuwante? Anyways, I think that's like the old Mew rumors from Red and Blue, where you would sacrifice all your legendairies, talk to professor oak, and go down a tunnel to get to mew. It would never work, and you wouldn't feel to happy afterwards. Crowstar 12:09, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fuwante is Drifloon - see below. -Jeske (v^_^v) 12:53, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fuwante's Name

[edit]

Is it worth mentioning that Fuwante's name comes from "fuwa fuwa," the Japanese mimetic term for floating? (Of course, the same goes for Fuwaride.)—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 152.163.100.8 (talk) 07:55, 13 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think it is. Crowstar 20:41, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

english name

[edit]

the name of fuwante in england has been confirmed as floattoon, and is probably gonna be the same american name.--65.54.154.117 20:05, 25 April 2007 (UTC) contribs) 13:42, 3 March 2007 (UTC).[reply]

I'm disinclined to believe you, based on a failure to provide a reliable source saying as much. Thus, additions of the name "Floatoon" (or, as you say here, "Floattoon") would violate Wikipedia's attribution policy, which states that information must be attributable to reliable sources.—M_C_Y_1008 (talk/contribs) 15:25, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
its true! i went on to a pokemon website that said its english name is floattoon!—Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.54.154.152 (talkcontribs)

sorry, i did go to a now virus-inhabited website that said it was floattoon, but i was damn wrong.--chaosemeraldking 20:22, 15 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Has anyone changed the article's title to Drifloon yet? User - sonicmaster1223, 18:51, 22 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, because Serebii and other fansites are not considered reliable sources (although they all say the same thing, they're all getting it from the same place), as according to Wikipedia:Reliable sources. Since content needs to be attributed to reliable sources, the information can't be included. And sign your posts with ~~~~. —M_C_Y_1008 (talk/contribs) 23:06, 22 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I went to a website and I found that its English name is Drifloon.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.21.21.29 (talkcontribs) 22:30, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

Adding something to the beggining...

[edit]

Well, I was reading the beggining, and it is great and all, but should it be mentinoed that Drifloon "steal away" children rather than lead them to the underworld(or try to as the case may be) in the U.S. version. It says it right in teh pokdex. I think that it oculd just be added in () as (stolen away in the English version). WOuld this be alright? (Mario66 02:30, 6 May 2007 (UTC))[reply]

They're both the same thing, but "steal away" fits in with Nintendo's reputation for dancing around death and theology. I say let someone who would have a better chance of sorting this do so. -Jeske (v^_^v) 04:21, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
