[edit]The "History" section and the "JBoss Rules" section are partly redundant with each other. 208.54.7.151 (talk) 04:36, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
Example Added
[edit]I added an example of a Drools rule. I hope this is helpful as I was expecting one when I brought up the page. I'm not sure if I should have added it under the JBoss Rules heading or (as I did) add it to the root. If the syntax I'm using is JBoss-specific, rather than JSR-standard, it should probably be moved under JBoss. Differentiating Java standards and vendor-implementations is a confusing part of the Java world IMHO. RebelBodhi (talk) 16:23, 25 February 2011 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:JBoss Logo.gif
[edit]The image Image:JBoss Logo.gif is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
- That this article is linked to from the image description page.

Hybrid reasoning system
[edit]Drools Expert documentation states that:
«While Drools started out as a PRS, 5.x introduced Prolog style backward chaining reasoning as well as some functional programming styles. For this reason we now prefer the term Hybrid Reasoning System when describing Drools.»
Should we update the wikipedia definition of Drools?

Name
[edit]I'd appreciate it if anyone could add the background history for the name "Drools". Sumana Harihareswara 16:05, 11 July 2017 (UTC)
Notability
[edit]I considered nominating this for deletion, but after searching for sources declined to do so. There are several books on this, most published by Packt publishing. I'm somewhat skeptical that is a good source -- but excluding their books there is enough to at least merge this rather than delete per notability. User:力 (powera, π, ν) 03:04, 1 December 2021 (UTC)
