Overall Review

[edit]

I made grammatical edits in the Relationships with Humans and opening intro sections to clarify some of the sentences and work on concision. I found thermoregulation to be the only subsection that was not sufficiently covered. I added information on thermal niches and how climate change is impacting thermoregulation in these lizards. I also elaborated on the antipredator behavior of the house gecko. This species has no unique antipredator behavior, however in comparison to the invasive Asian House gecko, the lizards have different ways of sensing and avoiding predators. I included more information on the difference in antipredator behavior between the two species in the Behavior section and discussed the importance of eyesight to these lizards’ predator avoidance. I found this information on an article discussing the differences between the two similar lizards and added the citation to the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Evanmbradley (talkcontribs) 05:24, 21 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I think that this article was very well written! I added a source and information to the "Range" section since there wasn't much information there. I only added a sentence about what the range used to be. I didn't really see any grammatical errors or typos. Edickerson1 (talk) 06:43, 22 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect species image

[edit]

The image used on this page, and which is also used on Gehyra, does not appear to depict a Gehyra at all, but most likely Hemidactylus frenatus. The tubercles on the tail are a key distinguishing feature. I'm happy to contribute my own image of Gehyra dubia but I'm somewhat unsure of how to go about it. 118.208.94.188 (talk) 12:18, 29 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Great if you are able to contribute a correct image! It is best to upload the image to the Wikimedia Commons, then just update the file name here. Micromesistius (talk) 07:52, 12 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Peer Edit for Class

[edit]

I made some line edits and reworded a few sentences in this article. I made a few minor restructuring changes as well.Tulipsareverypretty (talk) 20:32, 14 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
