Changes to Executive Staff
[edit]The senior staff changed Monday 21st August 2023. I work in the council. Owen Keegan is out, replaced by Richard Shakespeare. Eileen Quinlivan took over Richards role as Deputy Chief Executive. Anthony Flynn is now the Assistant Chief Executive and Derek Kelly replaces Anthony as the Executive Manager. Bruce Philips will take Derek's old role of Acting Executive Manager. I'm not sure how to get that information approved by wikipedia so that the main page can be updated. It was covered in the Irish Times, a national newspaper. Brutalist architecture
[edit]"Brutalist" derives from "beton brut", the use of raw concrete, and not from brutality meaning cruelty. All the blocks at Wood Quay are Brutalist.86.42.198.104 (talk) 12:55, 25 October 2010 (UTC)
Legislators?
[edit]Are elected councillors "legislators" for the city? Do they make or pass any laws? Or do they just ensure that national law is implemented properly in the city? In what sense, if any, do they make laws? This article doesn't address the very important issue. 109.77.193.231 (talk) 15:26, 1 April 2012 (UTC)
- They don't pass statute law; they;re empowered - delegated - to pass By-laws. Laurel Lodged (talk) 20:39, 1 April 2012 (UTC)
