Undercarriage and side screens[edit]

Just a note to say that contemporary sources show that several historians have got their timelines muddled. In particular, Flight for April 1910 showed photos of the early trial machine, while say Jane's for 1913 showed a later configuration. These evidence clearly that historians such as Lewis (1962) and Goodall & Tagg (2012) have got their chronologies back to front. Images in the Science Museum's archive of Dunne material confirm the early configuration depicted in Flight, but these are unpublished primary sources so should not be used here. The important point as Wikipedians is that Flight and Jane's are sufficiently reliable secondary sources for this NOT to count as WP:OR, so I have amended the article accordingly. — Cheers, Steelpillow (Talk) 18:40, 10 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
