Notable Alumni

[edit]

This entry is too long. If this person is genuinely notable, there is enough info here to start a stub on him. However, it has not been possible to verify the references supplied, as none of them carried mentions of Lingen-Stallard. According to Wiki rules, references need to be verifiable - these are not:

  • Andrew Lingen-Stallard MSc, BSc(Hons), ADM/DPSM, RN, RM, FEATC, FRSA. Appointed by Secretary of State for Health (Midwifery Support Team Member) following the implementation of special measures for UKs first failing maternity unit (April-Sept 2006), Midwifery Advisor, Nursing and Midwifery Council in UK (2006-2008), Elected UK Member of Council Royal College of Midwives (RCM) (2003-2007), Consultant Midwife Advisor to London Ambulance Service (2005- present), President RCM Southern Thames Branch (2008), RCM Branch Secretary (2003-2006), Awards- Fellow of The Royal Society of Arts (2006), College of Arms (2002), Nursing & Midwifery Council.[1]

Expanding

[edit]

This school has been in existence for over fifty years and is one of the three secondary schools directly serviing the Malvern area. A Wikipedeia article would be an excellent project for a group of senior students, and regular Wiki editors are always on hand to help. One way to expand a school article is to take a look at the articles of some of the other schools in Worcestershire and see the kind of information they include. Pick a good one, and build your article up the same way. For example, information to include about your school could be some of the details from its its Ofsted report, numbers of students by gender and year, its special status as a music, language, or sports college, and if has done especially well in competitions. Some former pupils may even have become famous or important people. Some additional items for consideration would be:

  • History
  • Growth
  • Description of buildings and facilities
  • Major sports practiced by the school and achievements
  • Student initiatives
  • Alumni

If you are using a computer on a school network, to avoid connection problems, be sure to sign up for your own Wikipedia user name, and use to log in each time. Signing up as a Wiki user is always a good idea, and helps regular Wiki editors to discuss your work and make suggestions. --Kudpung (talk) 06:42, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have contacts at Dysons and having been there myself, I am known to the school. I will get in touch with them and let them know that the article needs updating and that they are the best ones to do it. Maybe I could ask for information about the Mainstream Autism Base to be added. This is a special area where autistic students can go for support and are given TAs for lessons. I'll have to get in touch with the school first though. Usual people in life (talk) 18:30, 6 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
