No affiliation with Oscar Marion
[edit]It needs to be noted that Baker chose the name Marion after the county name, and that in no way was "Oscar Marion" considered. There has been an attempt by the woman behind the Oscar Marion discovery to attach his relationship to his owner's accomplishments outside of the War service. This was never the case with the county, or in the case of the village, founded by Baker. Sjkoblentz (talk) 11:57, 17 July 2018 (UTC)
