Eclipso v1.0
[edit]This article is beautiful to look at - if someone else could go through and just make the syntax a little more direct - that would be great. It might be a big job. Well done though for its presentation Bluemorning32 (talk) 15:12, 30 June 2009 (UTC) Is this article based on Don Markstein's article on Eclipso? User:Dimadick
I don't know, but I've just emailed the site.
Mr. Markstein has contactd the Help Desk mailing list and demanded removal of the copyvio. I have deleted the portion of the article which is a copy of his material. User:Zoe|(talk) 21:01, 28 December 2005 (UTC)
Eclipso v2.0
[edit]I've rebuilt the article after the Toonopedia's content was removed. I've also added a link to the Toonopedia, but that can be removed if he has a problem with it.
Arranged by Host
[edit]To make for easy section handling and links. --Basique 12:07, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
Any Relation?
[edit]The first Eclipso wouldn't happen to be related to Commisioner Gordon, would he? Bluecatcinema 08:42, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
Silver Age Powers
[edit]I've been reading the House of Secrets issues starting with Eclipso's debut and have hit issue #64. Thus far, Eclipso does not display super-strength or "partial invulnerability" or any other such thing; he is only able to shoot beams of light channeled through his "black diamond", and has a genius-level intellect that is equal that of his host, Bruce Gordon (he can build robots, handily manipulate people, fly airplanes, etc). In the Bruce Gordon portion of this article, it lists that Eclipso has generic super-villain powers, which I've yet to see. I will finish reading these issues and correct for any contrariness. - It's been two years now. Have you reached the point where any artificial eclipse would cause Gordon to turn into Eclipso (described in the article), while a genuine astronomical one would split Eclipso off from Gordon into a separate being (not there as of yet)? --Tbrittreid (talk) 22:40, 6 June 2010 (UTC)
Darkseid created Eclipso
[edit]I think we need to clarify the origin of Eclipso, the first part of the article states that he is the embodiment of G-Ds wrath, well if thats the case then did Darkseid 'free' him or give him sentience, a host perhaps? Other wise we need to revise part of the article.24.80.233.100 (talk) 09:21, 11 December 2008 (UTC)
I assumed that he was created by DarkSeid and came into the service of God some time later. 69.3.87.216 (talk) 07:47, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
Sex?
[edit]Should Eclipso be referred to as 'she' in the Loring section? He's in control of a female host but the article is still refering to Eclipso, who is clearly male and refers to himself as such. 69.3.87.216 (talk) 07:50, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
Inaccurate, unverified information
[edit]Eclipso is not relevant to Binary Star from In Blackest Night. The name itself should tell you that Two Face combined with the frequent Green Lantern villain Evil Star to create Binary Star, not Eclipso. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.122.186.175 (talk) 14:55, 25 July 2012 (UTC)
Possible appearance in Constantine
[edit]In Episode 12 of Constantine, John fights an entity that possesses persons who touch a black diamond that is said to have been created by a primordial sorceror. The best guess is that he is some sort of version of Eclipso, though this was never made explicit in the program. Perhaps too connected to fan theory to add, but here's a source for the theory: http://www.denofgeek.us/tv/constantine/243503/constantine-angels-and-ministers-of-grace-review 217.86.209.231 (talk)+ — Preceding undated comment added 07:05, 9 February 2015 (UTC)
