[edit]"Twice a year UCKG pastors take prayer requests to the holy land, each with a monetary offering of value suggested by the pastors" Pastors do not suggest or ask for a monetary value. They just teach the prayers about the offering and the prayers figure out something that is valuable to them acording to the offering descriptions in cults. This pastor is also a man with more than US$1 billion. He has the second biggest TV network of Brazil.Agre22 (talk) 23:30, 31 May 2008 (UTC)agre22
There's nothing about the fact, that "Bishop" Edir Macedo has a brother in law, R. R. Soares ( Romildo Ribeiro Soares ) also has a "church"/cult in Brazil. The fact is that Edir Macedo is the biggest fortune ever made using just religion, as its source.I think that wikipedia must have an article about Romildo Ribeiro Soares. He was born in 1947 and today, he is a famous televangelist.Agre22 (talk) 21:54, 24 June 2008 (UTC)agre22
This brazilian is the pentecostalism's Bill Gates. No other religion leader became so rich, as this brazilian.Edir Macedo has the second biggest TV network of Brazil, a private jet, dozens of companies and a private jet.Edir Macedo uses the self-appointed, title of "Bispo" (Bishop) Macedo and he has billions of dollars. His fortune came from religion. And this came in just thirty years. All the previous writings about 1 billion fortune etc are based on what evidence? Please... to write down that someone is ultra-rich making it sound as it is a bad thing to be rich and on top of it having no evidence to support the claims... As far as I know (but I can't prove) Edir Macedo used to live in a flat somewhere in the U.S.A. but may recently have moved back to Brazil. Leinadamil (talk) 14:40, 26 December 2011 (GMT)Leinadamil
"Macedo has earned criticism, especially after the 'kicking of the saint' incident (in which ex-bishop Sérgio Von Helder kicked a Catholic icon in a TV program then he prisoned 2 years after)[2] and his teachings about tithe and donations, which many say exploit the poor despising the fact that title and donations are also preached by other segments." -- I have no dog in this fight, but this is just gibberish. Can someone either rewrite it or delete it?850 C (talk) 17:11, 25 February 2013 (UTC)
POV Dispute May 2015
[edit]Edits by User talk:Mohapi Tau appear to change the substance of statements of previous editors from negative to positive. Previous editors also had problems with NPOV. Despite having good sources, this article is a mess and full of POV statements. Latest and most obvious is the concluding sentence, "...most prominent preacher of this century!" Can a more experienced editor please advise? JMDoran (talk) 21:01, 16 May 2015 (UTC)
