Jane Austen collector

[edit]

Her Jane Austen collection was significant and warrants discussion. From an article she wrote for JASNA: “MORE THAN SIXTY YEARS AFTER Jane Austen’s death, Edward, Lord Brabourne produced a book containing previously unpublished letters written by the author, who was his great-aunt. A second cousin in another branch of the family promptly bought the two-volume book and marked up her copy with detailed genealogies, marginal comments, explanations and family gossip. I now own that copy, and for the sake of those who may be interested in the future, I am recording here every notation in the two-volume edition.” Twoweeeeks (talk) 02:12, 5 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
