Totleben vs. von Totleben

[edit]

Normally articles with those who have the aristocratic von in their surnames include the von as part of the article title. If I understand correctly, this article used to be Eduard von Totleben, which be more correct, and then was moved to Eduard Totleben under the grounds that this is how he is normally described in English. That may be true, but his name was Eduard von Totleben, and almost all of the articles dealing with people who have von as part of their surnames include it in the article title. If no-one objects, I would like to move this article back to Eduard von Toteben. --A.S. Brown (talk) 18:25, 1 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I support this change as correct.
