Puerto Rico[edit]

An editor has tried inserting info about a supposed year in Puerto Rico, which doesn't match other timelines and accounts which do not mention the Puerto rico experience. Please provide citation before including. ThuranX (talk) 07:03, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

THe Editor is jumping IPs to replace the information, citing user-editable pay only websites like Askart.com, and apparently basing all conclusions on one phrase, which is not sufficient to support the paragraph added. As before, Editor also attributes it to a personal interview, which is not sufficient sourcing either, and finally, editor continues to suggest they were members of a program that didn't start till three years after their purported stay. Does the editor imply that all "paysites" such as Askart are not credible? There are certainly lapses in it, just as there as lapses in Wikipedia. (Incidentally one does not have to pay to see this on Askart).

On September 16, 2005 I conducted a brief telephone interview with Mr Scheier between 8:00-8:15 PM concerning his involvement with Puerto Rican Pottery and Teodoro Moscoso. (At the time Mr. Scheier was living at 501 S La Posada Circle in Green Valley, Arizona and his telephone number was 520-648-8205).

Scheier stated to me that he and his wife were hired as consultants by Mr Mascoso to train 10-15 ceramic technicians for one year for a factory in Puerto Rico that was to be set up later. At the end of that term he and his wife returned to the United States, but agreed to serve as long distance (off site) consultants for a second year.

The question for the above editor, is short of this information appearing in a yet unpublished biography on the Scheiers is there anything that will not stop him from continuing to censor this information? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.125.80.138 (talk) 12:06, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Another question for the above editor, do any of the "sources" (whatever ones he/she chooses to rely on) present clear expressed evidence/information to the contrary, that the Scheiers were not hired to train ceramicists by the Puerto Rican government in the 1945/1946 time period? There is another account (piece of evidence) concerning the Scheiers' activities in Puerto Rico that can be found at www.vasefinder.com.
