Election list[edit]

The article is a list of elections in 2011, not a list of national elections. Hence the lander and other such elections were restored.

But if one is to cite precedence on other such article WP:OTHERCRAPEXISTS and WP:Consensus can change means that arguement doesnt hold much water. Not to mention the ever-loose
Also for the scotland link, wales is listed, why remove one?WP:IgnoreLihaas (talk) 14:23, 21 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Up to now, we've always had only national elections on these pages – for, among others, the simple reason that we can actually be reasonably certain we've got all national elections in the list, whereas chasing after lists of sub-national elections or even local elections is a fool's endeavour. That's why local elections stay out. —Nightstallion 16:04, 26 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It doesnt mean we have to chase after it, but what is there is no reason to exclude what is there. I agree it would be silly to go after, but some editors have contributed to what furthers this intent of "electoral calendar." Again, by nature wikipedia is not perfect to include everything, it is ever-evolving. Meaning there isnt reason to exclude something that can be improved on.Lihaas (talk) 21:52, 26 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Consensus cant wait forever...Lihaas (talk) 03:18, 6 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I was away for a few days. I still think we should at least have a separate electoral calendar for local stuff, which clearly declares it is not meant to be omniscient. Okay? —Nightstallion 13:35, 6 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Woops, just came to this page.
What do you suggest? I was in fact just thinking of a "Election in 2011" akin to the specific page titles. But that would be redundant in a sense. Perhaps 1 page like that and then move this to a "national electoral calendar"?Lihaas (talk) 04:54, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe "national electoral calendar" for this one and "local electoral calendar" for the other one? I'd prefer to have the non-national ones removed for now, though. —Nightstallion 14:31, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, but do we also need new templates for the bottom of the page? From 2011 onwards we can go with this. Let's have this redirect to the national ones with a message on the top for the others?Lihaas (talk) 01:19, 9 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, sounds good to me. —Nightstallion 11:37, 10 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Cool, ill set up the pages, and then can you update the box at the bottom when thats done?Lihaas (talk) 13:17, 11 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, just tell me when. ;)Nightstallion 21:07, 11 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
