Perhaps add the image seen at right, it may need to be cropped (and rotated anticlockwise) because you cannot see the effect in a thumbnail.

Are electret microphones relatively flat before calibration? that is what I have heard. I have an electret that I plan on using as a measurement mic, but I don't have the money to have it calibrated. Jaberwocky6669 02:08, 25 September 2005 (UTC)
I own a pair of STAX brand electret earspeakers. This application is worth mentioning because it is an alternative configuration to the conventional electrostatic (push-pull) headphone, with about the same broad frequency response of conventional electrostatics without the DC power supply. Now if I hadn't taken them apart to play with the electret... |Android8 03:37, 15 January 2007
What does this mean?
[edit]"injection from an electron,"
This phrase is in the article. What does it mean? Does that need rewording? -- Dough34 (talk) 15:50, 8 September 2016 (UTC)
Zero references.
[edit]A couple of references, even to the further reading, would make this article more convincing. @Ldm1954 maybe you have some refs? I had never heard of this and thought at first the page was a hoax. Johnjbarton (talk) 17:44, 11 December 2023 (UTC)
- @Johnjbarton, in most cases is just a piezoelectric material which have been polled so they have only (or mainly) a single domain. I am dubious about the statement here about "injecting electrons". I would have to do some research to see if the later is real. It needs a pretty large rewrite. I can help in a bit, have some other stuff to handle at the moment. - @Johnjbarton, I am starting some edits. The page was pretty awful, whoever wrote it does not know the difference between dipoles and polarization, plus combined many ideas not very accurately. It is going to take some time! Ldm1954 (talk) 18:09, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
- Already improved thanks! Johnjbarton (talk) 18:56, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
