Edits on 01-19-2022 and maintenance template

I cleaned up the introduction and added a little more detail as the purpose is not to create a molten pool on a substrate; the purpose is to create 3D parts very efficiently.

I also edited the History section, highlighting contributions by Karen Taminger that were mentioned pre-edit, but not as prominently. I also added a citation for Taminger's research publications as I think it helps establish her expertise on the topic; especially as she is quoted later in the History section. I removed sentences about Additive Manufacturing, as really is a separate and rich topic with its own Wikipedia pages.

Also, I personally do not feel the maintenance template is accurate or necessary. The article does not read like an advertisement at all and I suggest the template be removed. DoktorScience (talk) 04:19, 20 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
