Bad Dutch

I've read that in 1600 Emanuel van Meteren described English as "niet meer dan gebroken Hollands", i.e. "nothing but bad Dutch / Flemish". Anyone have a reliable source? Shtove (talk) 15:33, 4 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
