The Embassy used to be in an old vila opposite the Kremlin (it's said that Stalin really resented the fact that one of the first things he saw every morning was the Union Flag). When did it move from there to its current location? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.2.66.155 (talk) 22:12, 21 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It didn't. Brits still occupy that mansion. You see, if you get Brits it's impossible to get rid of them. 2A02:A45E:72A7:1:DABB:C1FF:FEAC:7283 (talk) 14:49, 25 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Image of the former UK Embassy in St. Petersburg, Russia

[edit]

I found the Servet-i Funun, an Ottoman Turkish newspaper, has an image of the former UK Embassy in St. Petersburg https://archives.saltresearch.org/bitstream/123456789/129372/753/PFSIF9181003A140.jpg

I'm wondering if it's public domain, and if so, it can be included on the Commons WhisperToMe (talk) 00:10, 17 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
