Controversy

[edit]

I've seen many articles with differing opinions about the "Jubilee Symbol". Should some one include this is the aritcle? WebYoungProgrammerMsg me 02:57, 26 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you can provide valid citations, please do so. I have seen some propaganda in favour of the rugby ball (e.g. Pri la stelo) but very little to the contrary. My own contribution to the article on Esperanto symbols, that most Esperantists have no particular objection to the green star, flag or melono, is true in my experience, but is vulnerable to accuations of original research. Some good citations would help to clarify the situation somewhat. As a socialist I naturally gravitate toward the green star, but am not overwhelmingly opposed to the melon, as most esperantists that use it are unaware of the political differences between the two symbols. If we were closer to the fina venko then perhaps I might have stronger views on the matter :-) Rugxulo (talk) 19:54, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm adding a citation needed for the dates of the "Cold War," considering that the cold war was a thing of the past was something they did in the 1960s.72.207.237.162 (talk) 06:57, 8 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
