Declined speedy[edit]

@217IP:, I'm declining this one as well as the other. The article asserts that Edwards was an integral part of Motown, which is also asserted in this Billboard article, which calls her the "Mother of Motown". There are also a number of newspapers that commented upon her death and not just in a routine obituary. Some of them might be labeled "obituary" but the general rule of thumb is to look to see if it was written by a staff member. For example, this LA Times article was written by a staff member, which makes it more of an article than just a routine obituary. This one should go through AfD rather than speedy, if you're still interested in pursuing deletion. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 06:24, 27 June 2015 (UTC)

No problem - I'll put together some explanation and nominate in AfD. Thanks! 217IP (talk) 15:17, 27 June 2015 (UTC)
