Better crest needed

The HKN crest in this article, File:Eta_Kappa_Nu_shield.png, is of poor quality. Areas that (presumably) should be white are gray in color, and the colors overall are very subdued, as if it was taken from a poor quality photocopy or photographed in poor light. According to the Infobox, the blue is supposed to be navy blue, but it clearly isn't; the red is supposed to be scarlet, but it isn't either. The colors named in the Infobox are navy blue and scarlet, but the samples displayed are neither. The choice of navy blue seems dubious, as the details in the banner under the shield disappear; more likely, the original color was something closer to royal blue. I'll have to rummage in my archives when I get the time to see if I have a certificate or publication with a better example. So far, a search on the Web hasn't produced anything better, though. The crest should be re-created as an SVG file, but I also can't find evidence that it's ever been officially published in PostScript, EPS, SVG or any other vector format. — QuicksilverT @ 16:59, 19 March 2013 (UTC)

UPDATE: I located a large image in my file drawer, dating to the late 1970s or early 1980s, with a message signed by Paul K. Hudson/EDITOR. (Hudson served as executive secretary of HKN from 1958 to 1963, then as editor of The Bridge from 1963 to his death in 1988.) The gray area of the shield is, indeed, silver-gray and the contrast between blue and black is rather poor. The paper has a light cream color; it doesn't appear to be significantly yellowed with age, but has a slight sour smell, as if might be acid-based. This means the colors are probably still pretty close to the way they were when this item came off the printing press. Filling much of an 8.5x11 inch panel, the image is big enough and detailed enough to be used as the basis for an SVG vector conversion, although I expect considerable manipulation of a raster scan would be needed to separate the line art from the color flood areas. — QuicksilverT @ 20:43, 23 March 2013 (UTC)

More diverse list of prominent members

Does anyone know of any prominent female HKN members that could be added to the list? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.247.228.41 (talk) 22:48, 28 March 2017 (UTC)

Omega (Oklahoma State University) website

I changed the website link for Omega from hkn.okstate.edu to https://campuslink.okstate.edu/organization/eta-kappa-nu because my ISP said the former didn't exist. Having no familiarity with the site it is rather likely that there is a better replacement page since campuslink is just a bare-bones directory listing, with a short description and a mailing address. Any Wikipedian more familiar with what sort of information the link is supposed to be heading toward, please fix this. Gsnerd (talk) 10:48, 26 October 2017 (UTC)
