Sounds a lot like Riverworld...[edit]

The human race is destroyed by an alien race only to be resurrected by another alien race--centuries later--in perfect health as their 20-something selves in a river. Gee, where have I heard that before?

I see they jammed some other nonsense in there, but either this is a really obvious rip off, or someone's still pushing to get these stories to be a television success after the previous made for-tv-movie and miniseries reboot failed to do so.

For some reason I am tempted to assume the latter, and to conclude the same problems that undermined the last two attempts are likely to undermine this one: terribly overwritten dialog (it could be the very same writer from the previous two attempts) and a crippled budget (sounds like someone talked them out of making another poorly written, low-budget made-for-tv movie and into going straight for the even lower budget series that the other movies never got started).

It's unfortunate, because the concept is kind of neat. It would probably make for a great MMORPG. 220.221.138.95 (talk) 17:36, 20 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
