[edit]I found this page while searching to prove to a friend that there really was a company named FTP Software. I had a very intense class from them while contracting to a major corporation back around 1993. As I recall it seems it was 4 or 5 pretty full days and got well into the 7 layers of TCP/IP protocol. This company came from the Massachusetts area to Texas to do the school. They mentioned that they were instrumental in the forming of TCP/IP as we knew it then and I was impressed with the level of expertise they demonstrated. It is confusing that their name is also a generic term today - but Thank you Wiki for helping to provide some information on this company. Programmer1971 (talk) 19:31, 31 January 2014 (UTC)
