[1] I would disagree with the removal of all of those items. A common cause of confusion is the name of the island ground and the two largest islands sharing the name Falkland, along with the main channel between them. In addition Viscount Falkland, a Scottish peerage title, named after Falkland, Fife, Scotland seems not to be sensible, since the islands are in fact named after Lord Falkland. I'm not going to argue the toss over the other links but think these three examples should be restored. WCMemail 11:53, 22 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have added the two largest islands to the description of 'Falklands Islands'. Do you think separate entries are needed? I'm not sure why a reader would search 'Falkland' looking for one of the islands. We don't list North America and South America at America. Rob (talk | contribs) 13:05, 22 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Also, there's no entries here that are referred to as 'Falklands' or 'Falkland Islands' except the islands themselves, so I'm unsure as to why we need a link to this page at Falkland Islands. Rob (talk | contribs) 13:07, 22 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I added a couple of wikilinks to the two main islands - it serves a purpose in this case I feel and did the same with America. I tend to agree on the reference to Falklands in the disambiguation being unneeded but people like to add a stray "s" and I got fed up removing it. Its gone for now but I expect someone will add it again. There is a need for the link here. WCMemail 15:53, 22 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
