Discrepancy Regarding Revenue
[edit]Hello. I was asked to pass on the following message from the CEO of Family Life. The message is being posted in the Talk section due to the conflict of interest. - Alan Gustafson, Creative Services Director at Family Life
As CEO of Family Life Network, I would like to ask you to change the following statement that you have regarding this organization:
"Much of the network's revenue comes from acquiring translators in the commercial broadcast band, of which it has compiled a massive network, and flipping them to commercial broadcasters."
We have a $4.5 million annual budget of which 92% of that comes from listener donations. We were able to sell a few translators in the past two years because we no longer needed them as we have utilized the leasing of HD side channels to allow one of our translators fill-in power in certain markets. We've only sold 5-6 translators in markets where we no longer need them to help fund the purchase of other translators in areas where we don't have good coverage. I'm not sure where you came up with that statement as it is far from the truth.
Thank you for making this change!
