1961 info

[edit]

The Pal.rem site writes that this place had 117 inhabitants in 1961. I suspect that is on p. 26 I think I can make out the name Farata as locality no. 101, but I really cannot see the number of inhabitants. If anyone has access to a better copy of the 1961 Jordanian census: please add the number, Huldra (talk) 22:53, 17 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The best image I can find is very unclear. There are 3 digits, of which the middle digit is 1. The first digit appears to be the faint right side of "3" and not "1". I can't be sure, though. The third digit is practically invisible. Zerotalk 00:05, 18 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
That the first letter is a 3 (ie, that the number in 31x) seems improbable, as the the 1982 numbers (according to Pal.rem) was only 133. I will keep it open for now, and wait until a better copy of the 1961 census appears, Huldra (talk) 20:42, 18 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Huldra: It could mean that most of the population left in 1967. I found the value 133 for the Israeli census done in 1967. There could also be some variation in the split between Fara'ata and Immatain. Anyway, check your mail. Zerotalk 01:06, 19 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, it looks as if you are right. As for split between Fara'ata and Immatain: possible. In any case: the Pal.rem site have gotten the Immatain 1961 numbers completely wrong, Huldra (talk) 20:58, 19 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
