Type

I saw a typo. I wanted to fix the typo but the article is locked. ""Taufiq is survives the gun shot wound, but barely"" Should be: ""Taufiq survives the gun shot wound, but barely""

Also gunshot is one word. Don't use ""gun shot"". See the following URL: https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/gunshot

Plot: Amar blowing up club

This part could be written in a slightly different way to be more clear on Amar's bombing role. To do this, I suggest the changes below in describing event. Perhaps close to the following:

"Amar, distraught over Bashir's death, volunteers to bomb a night club which Boaz frequents. This will ensure that the Israeli's get the message that it is revenge for the killing of her new husband (and Boaz's role). It was planned for Amar to first arm the bomb that's in her purse and then leave the club within the 3 minutes of its detonation. However, Amar decides to stay and die in the explosion."

END OF EDIT

My thoughts for changes are because it clarifies that Amar volunteered to carry out retribution on her own (she wasn't coerced). She was inconsolable that her groom was killed at their wedding and the viewer soon gets the feeling that she volunteered because she had probably always planned to die in the explosion, but does not sharing this with fellow conspirators.

In the sentence "In the summer of 2016, Yes officially picked up season 2 of the show" from the first paragraph, the word yes should be written without a capital letter, also it should be linked to it's article yes. thanks!

Also there should be major changes in the article and the excessive restriction makes it much harder to update it. I ask from the users and admins in charge of this, to seriously consider reducing the restrictions. Thanks a lot! DoronWp (talk) 14:00, 1 January 2018 (UTC)

Done @DoronWp:, this article was protected in December, 2016 according to the terms of an Arbitration Committee decision, which you can see here. I'm sorry, but those restrictions are highly unlikely to be lifted any time soon due to the history of bad edits in this area. You may request protection to be lowered but I wouldn't be optimistic. On the other hand, if you stick around for a fairly short period and edit other articles in the meantime, you'll be able to correct this article yourself. Plot, paragraph 3, “that the Israeli's” – delete the apostrophe. Israelis is merely plural here, and takes no apostrophe.

Plot, paragraph 3, “finds his girlfriend body.” Add an apostrophe and s to girlfriend – “his girlfriend’s body.” Characters, Main, Doron Kavillio, paragraph 1, “Doron having previously been credited with killing Abu Ahmad, rejoins” – add a comma after Doron. Characters, Main, Doron Kavillio, paragraph 1, “unit, 18 months later” – remove comma.

Characters, Main, Doron Kavillio, paragraph 3, “although it ultimately proved unsuccessful” – Change proved to proves, since the entire article is in present tense, not past.

I'd love to do more with this, as it needs a lot of comma work. But this suggestion format's kind of cumbersome. Jenniearcheo (talk) 20:56, 6 January 2018 (UTC)

Partly done: The punctuation was improved in the instances you mentioned. But I'm afraid that as far as punctuation is concerned with this article, fixing the errors is a lot like bailing out the ocean with a teaspoon. The tense of the passage you mentioned was not changed, for to make only one correction in tense would require all of them to be checked and changed. Spintendo ᔦᔭ 01:29, 7 January 2018 (UTC)

Need new section on boycott call and controversy

Currently there is no suggestion of how much controversy this series has generated for its portrayal of Palestinans, like this piece in Haaretz https://www.haaretz.com/opinion/.premium-fauda-creators-think-arabs-are-stupid-1.5730664

And significantly, the BDS Movement has written to Netflix asking them to cancel the show: "Calling “Fauda” a medium for “racist propaganda for the Israeli occupation” and an “ostentation of aggression” against the Palestinians and their struggle for liberation, the BDS movement accused Netflix of being a partner in crime of the occupation." https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/bds-urges-netflix-to-boycott-fauda-for-supporting-israeli-occupation-1.5957952 Ausrussell (talk) 17:58, 29 March 2018 (UTC)

Agree. I added this section in the French version https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fauda and also the support from Hollywood of 50 entertainment industry executives.--LaMèreVeille (talk) 08:49, 8 April 2018 (UTC)

Thanks, LaMèreVeille. I think an English translation of your French would be good to use here, except for the inaccuracy that BDS is "illegale dans de nombreux pays" (illegal in many countries)... there are laws against financing of it but I'm unaware of any country making the movement itself illegal. And even if it were, not sure it would relevant. --Ausrussell (talk) 17:06, 17 September 2018 (UTC)

Two new sections

I noticed there isn't a section on the reaction of Israelis and Palestinians to the television series. I would highly recommend including a section summarizing how this television show is affecting the players of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict: https://www.pri.org/stories/2015-07-08/hit-tv-show-fauda-highlights-chaos-israeli-palestinian-divide

Additionally, there are storylines that occur within the episodes that are based on real life terror events. It would be wise to include those in another section. For example, an episode was dedicated to Iris Azulai because it was inspired by her murder: http://articles.latimes.com/1990-10-22/news/mn-2222_1_temple-mount

Under “Distribution” it says that the show aired in Dec 2016 and references a Variety article as a source. It DID NOT air then and that’s NOT what the article is saying either. I’m not sure who read the article or wrote that sentence, but it’s wrong and is providing inaccurate information. The article says the series was PICKED UP by Netflix in November 2016. 70.31.35.76 (talk) 09:59, 7 May 2020 (UTC)

That source is fine, I was highlighting that whoever wrote the section originally, misread the article, so someone should change the information since it’s wrong. All it has to say instead is that’s when it was picked up by Netflix

Lack of critical reception

Unlike most other media articles on Wikipedia rn, this article currently only got an awards section and not broader speaking critical reception which would have to include also negative responses towards issues such as it's dismissal of the lifes of people in a particular ethnicity & nationality (Palestinians). That is extremely biased for an article about a political show and needs to be corrected. ~~arga~~ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 176.127.3.78 (talk) 12:03, 8 May 2020 (UTC)

In the Main Characters section, two minor changes are needed:

  • Avihai - The full name of the character played by Boaz Konforty is Avihay Ben-Haim (as seen in Season 3, Episode 11/12). I would suggest renaming "Avihai" to "Avihai Ben-Haim".
  • Captain Gabi Ayub - Although Gaby is the character's first name, it appears that Captain Ayub is not the character's name, rather an alias. I would suggest rephrasing "Captain Gabi Ayub" to "Gabi (Captain Ayub)".

The Summary of the character Nurit and the episode summary for Episode 4 of Season 1 both say Nurit shot and killed the female terrorist who tried to kill Nurit with a knife. If you look at the episode it is clear that the oman attacked her with a knife, Nurit threw her to the ground and simply pointd her gun at her as any law ebforcement officer would do after neutralizing alethal attack. The woman grabbed the knofe again and started to get up to attack again at which point a MALE colleague of Nurit's shot and apparently killed the female terrorist. It is incorrect to say Nurit shot her in the arm and then later shot her again and killed her. The woman was shot once and then by a male member of the team. Grammar/Style cleanup needed

I'm not sure if this was translated from another language, but certain sections have absolutely abysmal grammar. For example, the section on Walid says: "Walid as of season 1 he is 20 years old" and "Walid is a trusted member is Taufiq's team".

The section also misspells at least one name - Shirin - saying "Walid feels that he never knew what true love was until he met Shrin" Newms34 (talk) 03:45, 28 January 2022 (UTC)
