Name change

[edit]

I changed the name according to the following video links:

[1] [2]

And this 1977 TV Guide article [3]

It doesn't appear that the "Nite" spelling was ever officially used. MrBlondNYC 07:15, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Fernwood09.JPG

[edit]

Image:Fernwood09.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

America 2 Night

[edit]

Having just read both pages, it seems like this one and America 2 Night should probably be merged. I don't know how to perform such surgery, otherwise I would do so myself. David A Spitzley (talk) 22:20, 11 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

DVD release

[edit]

There have been 10 episodes of Fernwood 2 Night officially released, on the bonus discs of the Complete Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman dvd set (discs 37 & 38).

These are the episodes included:

  • #16 (July 25, 1977)
  • #32 (Aug 16, 1977)
  • #33 (Aug 17, 1977)
  • #34 (Aug 18, 1977)
  • #38 (Aug 24, 1977)
  • #43 (Aug 31, 1977)
  • #53 (Sept 14, 1977)
  • #59 (Sept 22, 1977)
  • #60 (Sept 23, 1977)
  • #64 (Sept 29, 1977)

Also Harry Shearer is credited every episode as "Program Consultant", whatever that means, and appears (as himself) in one of the episodes (#64), portraying the president of the local chapter of the Tom Snyder Fan Club (his character is a Snyder impersonation).

What network was this show aired on?

[edit]

There should be some mention as to what network (and at what time) this show was originally broadcast. Was it ABC, NBC, CBS, or was it picked up by independent stations? Was it aired at 11:30 pm local time (ie after the local evening news) ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 45.74.108.212 (talk) 02:57, 17 May 2020 (UTC) Its first run syndication. Meaning no network, a show that would have been bought by individual stations and aired at a time that each station would have chosen.[reply]

After one season

[edit]

The info box says the show aired for 1 season. Yet the third paragraph says, "After one season," the show was "revamped" as America 2 Night. So if its the same production with a different name for a second season why does this need two articles? That's like intentionally misleading the readers.
