Haze Generator™
[edit]I see lots of ads for Haze Generators™ on the net, but no explanation of how they work. Does anyone here know? --Slashme 06:01, 7 December 2005 (UTC)

CO2 fog
[edit]You cannot make a fog of CO2, it would evaporate imeadiatly. You can use CO2 to make a fog of water. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.196.82.42 (talk) 13:55, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
Re: Adverse Health Effects
[edit]I updated the "adverse effects" section since the cited studies refer to glycol based fogs and not simple water based fogs. Don't want the local school productions to be afraid of dropping dry ice in some water buckets because of this wiki article. Regards, James Baugh (talk) 14:27, 30 August 2010 (UTC)
- I confess I tweaked your additions somewhat. Your intro didn't differentiate between water based effects, and "water based" fog fluid, which most of the studies ARE about. Also, as an aside, dry ice CAN be unsafe if you abuse it or don't know what you're doing... DJSparky huh? 22:06, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
Ultrasonic fog machines
[edit]A reference is made to "ultrasonic fog machines" under the 'Adverse Health Effects' section, but no description (or even mention) in the 'Types of Fog Machines' section. 75.93.196.215 (talk) 11:23, 2 June 2011 (UTC)
Bad links
[edit]The citation:
"ANSI HE'.5 - 2003, Entertainment Technology - Theatrical Fog Made With Aqueous Solutions Of Di- And Triadic Alcohols F&S/1997-3017r7.5"
leads to a 404 page.
Another citation:
"Gregory E. Raymond, Recommended Exposure Liquid Fogging Agents"
leads to an online store to buy the agents in question, and does not supply any recommendations for exposure. This information is very important for this topic and the reason why I visited this article
Why glycols ?
[edit]what is the physical/chemical effect of adding glycol or glycerin to water ?
Couldn't find this clearly explained anywhere, even in patents ...
Thanks !
