Did the Germans really operate captured D.XXIs? I've never heard of that claim. --MoRsE 21:39, 21 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nor have I, and I have a fair amount of Fokker D-XXI reference books. I know about a 1:72 model that is offered with German decals (SIGA), and about boxart for that model showing the same (edited) picture I know for a Dutch plane: (http://www.grebbeberg.nl/bibliotheek/bewapening/weap0010.html). Dirk P Broer (talk) 00:59, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I cannot understand information about Pegasus-Fokker D.XXI. Finns bought in all 7 and built 90 Fokker D.XXIs in five series: Serie I has been bought from Netherlands (7 aircraft) 1937, Serie II and Serie III have been manufactured as one serie (14+21=35 aircraft) equipped by Mercury 1938-1939, Serie IV has been delivered 1940-1941 (50 aircraft in all, equipped by Twin Wasp Junior) and Serie V (5 aircraft) assembled from spares 1944) equipped by Twin Wasp Junior. There has been Serie VI, too, but it halted and terminated before any deliveries. Myllyre (talk) 15:38, 12 May 2012 (UTC) Since nobody fixed the previous issue, I fixed it. D.XXI-5 version (with Bristol Pegasus engine) upgraded from D.XXI-4 is disinformation. The State Aircraft Factory built 35 Fokker D.XXI with Bristol Mercury engine and 50+5=55 with U.S. built Pratt & Whitney R-1535 Twin Wasp Junior engine. The latter engines were bought from USA before the embargo started July 2nd, 1941. Myllyre (talk) 19:58, 14 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Just one typo to mention: the text refs. to FK-110 as Sarvanto's plane. The correct type mark is FR-110, as in the figure. (FK was used for the Fokker C:X dive bomber) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.166.14.153 (talk) 15:19, 14 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

number of kills

[edit]

the number of kills (37 shot down out of a formation of JU-52's) is almost certainly incorrect. Current estimates say the number of air-to-air kills obtained by the LVA in the whole five days of the war was around 36 (this includes kills by other aircraft types, such as the G-1). I'll come back with a reference and a proposal to rewrite, but maybe this can be adapted already? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Roeinerd (talkcontribs) 12:38, 25 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
